Celebrate spring in the New York Botanical Gardens. See this exhibition of botanical watercolors from the Netherlands, displayed alongside some of the rare illustrated books in the garden's own collection. Then enjoy a walk through the gardens with a horticultural guide. Following a lunch break in the gardens we'll go to the Bronx Museum of the Arts where we'll have a docent tour of the current exhibition.
A Summer Idyll: Caramoor: An art-filled romantic Venetian villa , secluded gardens, chamber music on the patio-all this makes a day in Caramoor an unforgettable experience. We'll travel by deluxe motor coach to Caramoor where we'll tour the house that was brought from Italy and then filled with precious antiques. We'll attend a music recital , enjoy a picnic in the gardens and then have a docent tour of the Katonah Museum of Art. Tour Holland--in glorious bloom . This deluxe itinerary includes a canal boat cruise on the lovely Vecht River as well as specially arranged tours of Private Gardens and garden teas. The trip is led by an expert in Dutch history and gardens. A trip by barge along the beautiful Vecht River will include visits to some of the lovely private mansions and charming villages that line the river and visit private gardens. The group will also have the opportunity to be "insiders" at the world's largest Flower Auction where over 15 million stems are brought to market daily.
